Brief description of the project
The main goal of the project is to offer a new service consisting in making independent measurements on interactive 3D metric panoramas by using interactive 3D metric panoramas, created on the basis of data from terrestrial laser scanning in combination with classic panoramas. The subject of the research planned in the project will be to determine the method of data processing, the measurement procedures carried out and the method of automatic integration of both products. The implementation of the project will allow to increase the production potential of the Applicant by increasing the range of services provided to customers and attracting new customers interested in the new service. The service will function as an added value to already implemented projects. Each client ordering scanning will be offered the possibility of conducting measurements on 3D panoramas. The newly introduced service will also be addressed to clients interested in independent, quick measurement of objects and the distance between them, on the basis of data obtained by the Applicant, without the need to commission additional works. Panoramas can be used in various locations, both in the interiors of historic and religious buildings, museums, public facilities, as well as in industrial facilities or in other locations specified by the client. The planned project will provide the Applicant's clients with wide access to the possibility of making independent 3D measurements on the basis of shared panoramas via the website using any web browser. Due to the fact that the measurement will be performed on the panoramas created on the basis of photographs, the measurement will be intuitive for the user and will not require specialist knowledge. In order to make it easier for the user to navigate the shared project and to orientate in the area covered by the panoramas, they will be integrated with map backgrounds or facility plans as well as related hot-spots.
