3D controller is a combination of a standard mouse and joystick buttons.
There are currently two types of controllers, new and old ones, to be found on the market. All the old controllers are being replaced.
New controller's view
Below you can find a help to install both types of controllers, new and old ones.
New controller installation
Install Logitech_9791.exe driver from the Dephos installation disk, \Logitech folder.
In the properties menu: Mouse set the button 2 (wheel) as a Middle Button, and scrolling size as NONE.
Next step is to add a registry entry.
Stage I
Enter regedit in the Windows run line, a window of registry opens.
In the Edit menu choose Search and enter GamerOrientation. Make sure that the selected element is in the right place (key) as in the picture below.
If the key's value is 1 - don't change it,
if it's zero - proceed as below.
In order to set the value of the GamerOrientation as „1" click the right button of the mouse selecting GamerOrientation
and choose Modify. Enter „1" in the field Values data.
Stage II
Do as above - but this time we search Orientation as the keyword.
The Orientation's value should be 320.
Enter „320" in the field Values data
No installation of a joystick is required for a new type controller. It works with a USB port. However, some settings should be changed if an older type controller was previously installed so that the new one works well. Open a window as for installation of an old controller and highlight WingMan Precision USB driver. Click advanced button and set the WingMan Precision USB device. You can also remove the old 2-axis, 4-button joystic driver, just make sure that you will not use the old controller any more.
Old controller installation
Install a mouseware driver from the DEPHOS Applications CD (9.42.1 version). Restart the computer and configure the mouse.
